What is Phlogging?

Phlogs are Audio posts that can be recorded via ipadio. These posts can be used for evidence in assessment. I.e. Practical responses to questions, providing further information or profile information. Administrators will need to create an ipadio account first and then pose a question to the student. The students then will be provided with information that they will need to be put into their phone. Any phone may be used as long as it has a dial pad.
The type of information that they will need to input to post their audio blog is as follows:
  • Ring: Phone number relative to the account would be supplied
  • Enter the Registered Number: This will be the registered number of the account. Usually followed by a hash tag
  • Enter the Pin number: This pin will be supplied by ipadio and you will need to let students know the pin number
  • Begin your phonecast: At this stage the student will talk and provide the required information. Try to place a limit on the time that students talk so as to limit the size of the mp3 file that will be created.
  • When the account has been set up you will be provided with a channel homepage where you can go in and retrieve/listen to the recordings. The channel homepage link may look something like the link below:
Channel Homepage: http://www.ipadio.com/channels/(Your name) (NB: this is not a live link)

ipadio's webpage: http://www.ipadio.com/default.aspx
