ACPET & Skills Victoria Showcase 14th November 2012
What a fun day we had with Sherrill, Mick and our fellow beginner and intermediate stream participants and representatives from ACPET and Skills Victoria.
This has been an amazing program for us and we are so glad that we participated. We learnt so much, were introduced to the most wonderful and supportive people and obtained a great outcome. Besides a great day I also added a few notes that I will follow up on later. They are as follows:
- Fronter: An interesting LMS from Norway. Very modern, colourful and easy to follow.
- One minute music: To add some interest to your content why not add one minute music? Search the web for other free downloads to insert into your content.
- Fiver.com: Use the web to find someone to create voice-overs for your content. I learnt this at a podcasting course, but remembered it whilst at showcase, so thought it was worth a mention.
- E-learning scholarship: Have a look at scholarships available in E-learning.
- Use Reflection App or iDemo: To share your iPhone and iPad when presenting.
- iSpring Suite: Create interactive eLearning courses with narrations, interactions, quizzes
and surveys directly from PowerPoint and publish for LMS. - Prezi: For fun and more engaging online PowerPoints
- Screenchomp App:
- Share a great idea... Explain a tricky concept... Help kids with their homework... ScreenChomp for iPad helps you do it all. A simple doodling board, markers, and one-click sharing tools make spreading your ideas and know-how easy and fun! Just - Record It. Sketch It. Share It. - to create a sharable, replay-able video that tells your story clearly.
- Khan Academy: Learn almost anything for free. Free educational resources and information.
- Voice Thread on iPhone: Create and share dynamic conversations around documents, snapshots, diagrams and videos -- basically anything there is to talk about. You can talk, type, and draw right on the screen. VoiceThread takes your conversations to the next level, capturing your presence, not just your comments. Anyone can join the discussion from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC -- anytime, anywhere.
- Eworks have a number of free e-learning resources such as information on: Video production, wikis and accessibility issues.
- Make belief comics:
Oh and by the way: Kim you are a "Moodle Doodle"!
